Movement
Right from the first gameplay screen -after tapping our way through some lengthy plot related dialog- Anna informs us to move her avatar. This is shown by a pointer icon and the movement arrow. Every other interaction is disabled until we make this move.
Following the same logic, during the next phase of the battle Anna instructs us to attack by also highlighting the enemy using a rectangle around him. Again, we are only allowed to make this particular move.
Due to the fact that the combat happens automatically, there is no indication inside the combat screen.
Ranged Combat
The next tutorial teaches us the ranged combat. Anna talks again, informing us to keep our distance between the archer and the enemy. Following the same logic as the previous level, the cursor, the arrow and rectangle elements are shown at once to make it easier for us to understand how and where to move.
After some moment, Anna informs us that her special skill, Night Sky, is ready. There is no visual indication this time as the skill activates automatically in Anna's next attack.
Weapon Triangle
In the final battle, Alfonse reminds us that we have to keep the weapon triangle in mind, which is always visible at the bottom right of the screen. Again, a rectangle around the weapon triangle flashes for a short period of time to let us know about its position. As an extra step, the game presents an overlay informing us about the way the weapon triangle works (element priority).
